Registration

  1. Choose your race distance.
  2. Register online via Entry Ninja.
  3. Complete payment online.
  4. Fill out your online Indemnity Form.
  5. Download the FinishTime Passport App.
  6. Collect your race number at registration with proof of ID.

Registration Times & Location:

  • Friday, 4 September 2026: Clarens Town Square, 14:00 – 20:00
  • Saturday, 5 September 2026: Clarens Town Square, from 05:30
Important Notes:
  • Registration on Friday is mandatory for all 50 km runners.
  • 50 km participants must also attend the race briefing at 18:00 on Friday at Clarens Town Square.
  • Start Times may be adjusted closer to race day. Please check the official communications for any updates.
  • All races start from and finish at the Clarens Town Square.

Race Rules & Participation Information

General Rules

  • All participants must wear their race numbers visibly on the front of their shirts at all times.
  • Follow marshals’ instructions and respect all signage along the route.
  • No littering — all waste must be carried to designated points.
    Participants must be self-sufficient, particularly on longer routes; water points are provided, but plan accordingly.
  • Cut-off times apply on certain routes. Runners failing to reach cut-off points may be redirected or withdrawn for safety reasons.
  • Dogs are not permitted on any of the routes.
  • Walking is allowed on all routes, but the 35 km and 50 km routes are recommended for serious runners only due to challenging terrain and elevation. Serious walkers may participate in the 21 km route, but must ensure that cut-off times are realistic for them.

Age Limits

  • 5km:  under 11 years must be accompanied by an adult
  • 10km:  12 years and older
  • 21km:  16 years and older
  • 35km:  18 years and older
  • 50km:  21 years and older

Additional Requirements

  • Runners must register in person and provide proof of ID.
  • All participants must download the FinishTime Passport App for registration: https://finishtime.co.za/toolkit-passport/
  • All participants run at their own risk. Organisers and sponsors are not responsible for injury, loss, or damage during the event.
  • Medical support will be provided along the course, but any additional medical costs are the responsibility of the runner.
  • All participants must sign the online indemnity form through the FinishTime Passport App; no third-party signatures are allowed.
  • Aid stations are well-stocked.

Prizes - Running for Charity

All proceeds support the Clarens Village Conservancy’s ongoing maintenance of local hiking trails and conservation areas. The Clarens Village Conservancy relies on member contributions and fundraising events for income, therefore both placement and spot prizes will be given away at the prize giving.

Monetary prizes will be given to all first, second and third places. Prize money:   Four Categories – Two Divisions (Male & Female)

Spot Prizes & Awards

Spot prizes will be drawn randomly and awarded only to participants present at prize-giving or still on course.
